I made this post a long long time ago when I had like 100 followers and for some reason I have forgotten to repost/make it again. I just got like 6 messages asking what it is and I am sure a lot of you have questions about it so here it goes:

Fitbit: Is basically a super pedometer. It has 3D sensors so it monitors your every movement very accurately. It shows exactly how many steps you have taken, how many calories you burned and the distance you travel.

Calorie: When you get the the fitbit you get an online membership, there you can track your calories. Also you put in your information and it calculates your BMR, the fitbit the calculates your BMR everyday plus the calories you burn from moving around so you get a total amount of calories burned. You can also sync it up to Myfitnesspal and it will automatically add the amount of calories burned to your daily log.

Stairs: One of the cool things about the fitbit is that it can count how many stairs/flight of stairs you climb.

Goals: The fitbit sets certain step/stairs/calorie goals for you. It also has a little flower and the more active you are the more the flower grows. With the stairs it will give you example of what you have climbed like “the worlds biggest pencil”. When you reach certain achievements it will give you badges or email you to congratulate you. Also you can sync it up to Earndit and you can get points and buy stuff with those points just for running. You can also add friends on the website and set up little competitions with them.

Sleep Monitor:  The fitbit brings a wristband were you can put the device in at night. You set it to sleep mode and by monitoring your movement it can calculate what time you fell asleep and how many times you woke up, then it will give you your sleep efficiency percentage.

Software: The fitbit brings a software which wirelessly syncs your data to the computer. It will display to you what you achieved that day, you can set goals, track your calories/intake, and compete with friends. It adjusts your calorie requirement depending on how much activity you did that day. This is what I post up on my blog from time to time

Price: This is the only downside to this amazing product. The fitbit currently costs $99. In my opinion it is well worth it, it is very sturdy and does a lot. Also if you lose it and explain it to them they will replace it for free.
